These terms apply to your use of ArchBuddy ("the app"). By using the app you agree to them. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where these terms and that agreement differ, these terms apply to the extent permitted.

England only

Building Regulations guidance and the regulated calculators in the app currently apply to England only. They do not reflect the requirements of Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland.

Indicative guidance only

All calculators, salary figures, dimensions and reference summaries are indicative guidance. They are not architectural, engineering, fire-safety, employment, financial, tax or legal advice, and using the app does not create a professional or client relationship.

Results such as "Passes modelled checks" describe simplified checks only. Outputs do not demonstrate regulatory compliance and must be checked against the applicable Approved Documents, standards and competent professional advice before being relied on for design, construction, submissions, employment or financial decisions.

Purchases and refunds

  • ArchBuddy Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It is not a subscription.
  • The price is the price displayed by the App Store at the time of purchase.
  • Purchases are processed by Apple using your Apple ID.
  • If you reinstall the app or use a new device signed in with the same Apple ID, you can restore access using Restore Purchases on the ArchBuddy Pro screen.
  • Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Liability

We take reasonable care to keep the app accurate, but we cannot guarantee it is free of errors or always up to date. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the app's outputs without the independent checks described above, or for business losses such as lost profit, contracts or opportunity.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales, and nothing affects your statutory rights.

Acceptable use

Do not reverse engineer, decompile or extract the app's source code except as permitted by law.
